    • Returned from India to Scotland to become Secretary and Manager of the
      Scottish Constitutional Club, then of the Sottish Conservative Club,Edinburgh.
      Several years later became General Manager of what is now the Chesterfield
      Hotel in Derbyshire. Retired in Brighton where he died age 92. He was cremated
      and his ashes were sprinkled in the gardens of Balhousie Castle, Perth.
