      [from Scope and Content] Of Christopher Meryden of Bovingdon.

      In the name of God, Amen, in the year 1564, the first day of June,
      [Memorandum] that I, Christopher Meriden, of Bovingdon, make this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
      First I bequeath my soul to almighty God, and my body to Christian burial.
      Item I give to William my brother all the reversion of my house and my land in Letemas upon condition that the said William shall pay to my father ¹3 6s 8d, and also shall pay to Robert my brother ¹3 6s 8d.
      Item I give to Richard my brother 20s.
      Item to Joan Golde 20s, a coffer and a pair of sheets.
      Item I give to William my brother all my [?]tools.
      Item I will that all such money as my master doth owe me he shall distribute it among his household and poor people where he shall think need.
